Luggage

Passengers with luggage are required to comply with the following rules of conduct:

  • Checked baggage and hand luggage must be labeled with name, surname, phone number, and complete address
  • They must not exceed the maximum number and weight allowed for transport, determined by the service class and indicated on the ticket
  • If they exceed the prescribed limits, transport is authorized upon payment of an “excess baggage fee” at the ticket office (subject to availability)
  • It is strictly forbidden to leave your luggage unattended during your stay at the airport.

Hand Luggage

Hand luggage must not exceed 115 cm in total dimensions. To know the weight limits applied to luggage, please contact your airline.

On board the aircraft, only one piece of hand luggage is allowed, in addition to the following items (unless otherwise specified by the airline):

  • A handbag or a document bag or a portable personal computer, a camera, video camera, or CD player
  • An overcoat or raincoat
  • An umbrella or walking stick
  • A pair of crutches or other walking aid
  • Portable crib and baby food
  • Reading materials for the journey
  • Items purchased from airport shops (in limited quantity and weight)

Safety Rules and Obligations

In checked baggage, it is not possible to transport compressed gases (flammable, non-flammable, refrigerated, poisonous such as butane, oxygen, propane, and oxygen for self-contained breathing apparatus); corrosive products; explosives (e.g., fireworks, rockets, ammunition, gun projectiles); mercury thermometers; substances that emit flammable gases when in contact with water; infectious substances (e.g., live bacteria and viruses); poisonous substances (insecticides, herbicides, arsenic, and cyanide), matches, lighters, alarm devices, magnetizing material. In hand luggage, small quantities of liquids are allowed and must be presented at security checks. They must be contained in containers with a maximum capacity of 100 milliliters or equivalent (e.g., 100 grams) each, placed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag with a capacity not exceeding one liter (i.e., with dimensions of approximately 18 x 20 cm). Each passenger will be allowed to carry only one plastic bag. Medicines and liquids prescribed for dietary purposes, such as baby food, can be transported outside the bag and are not subject to volume limitations. Liquids include: water and other beverages, soups, syrups, creams, lotions and oils, perfumes, sprays, gels, including those for hair and shower, contents of pressurized containers including shaving foams, other foams and deodorants, paste-like substances, including toothpaste or mixtures of liquids.

It is not possible to transport dangerous objects and other particular prohibited items such as:

  • Objects constituting improper weapons (knives, scissors, nail files)
  • Briefcases with built-in alarm systems
  • Underwater flashlights with batteries inserted
  • Explosive substances (fireworks, rockets) and flares
  • Containers with gas (irritant gases, self-defense sprays, camping stoves)
  • Corrosives (acids, alkaline solutions/bases, acid batteries)
  • Explosive ammunition and flammable liquids and solids (lighter fuel, paints, varnishes, detergents)
  • Radioactive and oxidizing materials
  • Poisons and infectious substances (mercury, bacterial and viral cultures)
  • Strongly magnetic materials
